Blog Vacation

I got this idea from Zoe, thanks girl! It's not like I keep up on posting anyway, but I have made a new policy so I don't overwhelm my free time with PC time, so I will check FaceBook & this Blog at the end of the month. I may post some pics if the boys do something super great, which is everyday, but you know what I mean;)! Bye!

New Hair

So, I never cut my hair, but when i do, I go to a stylist and say, "I up for whatever!" Well, that was a mistake. No only did I get a fresh out of Beauty school-20 something (I can say that since I am almost 30), but it was her last day & she was going postal on heads. I was the last cut of her last day & she was like, "Can I style it too? I won't charge you!" "Fine, do whatever, I really don't care & I have never had a really bad haircut, so what could happen" Well, this happened...it is a cross between a Jen Aniston Do from the 90's & a mullet. Do you remember Robbie's ex on "The Wedding Singer"? I can't remember her name, but that is who I think I look like. So, I guess I am a 80's rocker chic for Halloween.....by default. Careful what you ask for!

Gramma Jay's last visit for the summer

Mom made a trip down on the train for her last visit until Christmas since school starts for her (she teaches History for 4th & 5th & high schoolers). With her creativity & artistic ability & Jackson's love for order & jumping, she came up with an old favorite on the driveway, Hop Scotch. I had fun, too, playing with JT... he was better than I was, he really has that game down. We also took Gramma Jay to the Aquarium (we get free passes thru the local library) and we had a great time. Love you, Mom!

Keep them comin'.....

So a few more zoo & then dinner at the Jungle, this rad place for kids to play & eat, like 2 steps up from Chuckie Cheese, which I am sick of at this point. Problem: it is in San Jose, which is a solid hour drive for us, so we make the trip for special occasions. Have yet to take Tim there, but need too.

More of the Zoo

Jackson likes all of the interactive, the train, merry-go-round, etc. Jo just wants to run around and pretend to shoot things with a stick. Very different boys, thank you God for variety! I love them both, TONS!

I know, I promised pics.......

So, some from the SF Zoo with the Villasenors for Abel's b-day....Josiah liked the penguins the best. he is my swimmer boy, so it makes sense.

SF Zoo, Grass Valley, The Jungle in San Jose, Santa Cruz, and much more!

A friend from the past made contact with me today & I saw on her page that she just put an album of pics on her page, so I thought I would try that, with little to no commentary. That is what is time consuming.  If you have questions about what is happening in the pic or which one is Josiah or Jackson, email me, that would be easier.  So, enjoy pics of our very busy summer, which is now drawing to a close as we prepare for both boys to start preschool next week....wow!  Love, Linz

Okay, the pics are not uploading, I will have to try later.  The boys are ready to go outside, it is beautiful on the coast today!

My Usual........a post every 3 months!

These are pics as far back as JT's last day of school (end of May). Some pics of JT & his classmates & then one of Josiah throwing a fit because he wants to sit with his brother & friends. I have a feeling this is just the beginning of that conflict.

Then he started to ride a 2 wheeler! We put him on for the first time & pushed him for about 10 seconds & he was off & we haven't helped him since, except when he falls & gets really frustrated with himself.

Here are some pics of summer bbq's with friends, which we love! The Phillips Crew, the Villasenors & The Ws on Memorial Day.

Jackson pushing Carys in the stroller. Jackson is such a pushover when it comes to Carys, he really loves her.

Sweet Bay, plays so great when she is around these boys. She really holds her own and they have learned to be gentle. Well, they are still learning.

I love this pic of Jo, such a classic smile face & super goofy look for Jo. He cracks us up.

Happy Father's Day, Dad! You're the best dad, playing games & trains with us & always up for some wrestling, too.

Our buddy Abel over to play!

Playing "Babies" together is a favorite of these boys. One plays the daddy and the other a baby & all kinds of craziness happens. It is very sweet (& rare) when they play together.

Movie Time!

On Father's Day a enormous tree split in two about 4 doors down from our house. It fell across the street just missing a house & the other part right on the roof, but no major damage occurred. It knocked out all the power on our block & all this on the afternoon of Father's Day. What could be more exciting for a bunch of men (our boys included)? Emergency vehicles, power tools, electrical issues, it was a huge event & Tim & JT where there first hand. They heard the crash & saw the police, fire fighters & tree crew come & work on it from 4pm-11pm at night & then we went to bed. Such excitement. On top of that I desperately needed to do laundry & we had no power so we went to our local pizza parlor for dinner, NBA Finals & the Laundromat. To make a long story short, there was a fight, a drug bust & the gang task force showed up to make some arrests. Honestly, it was the most bizarre day, let alone Father's Day ever. One for the books, & Tim will remember for years to come. The SFD let JT in the engine, that really made his day. Too bad Jo was sleeping:(

Here are some shots of JT & his neighbor friend Angela sharing some watermelon together.

Jackson has been into taking pictures & posing lately, which is a far cry from running away every time I took the camera out, so we are going with it. Here are some shots that he staged & then a cute one of Dad & Jo.

Cute boy!

I found this pic that Grandpa Don took, buried in my Inbox. I love it, such a cutie!

Jackson's Special Day

Okay, I took a bad picture, but this was his Special Day stuff from school. A mom from class made him a name badge that was a crane, super cool. He loved it. "I'm Special" sticker & a pink cape which he agreed to wear after teacher Marci couldn't find the blue boy one. I am so glad he is comfortable wearing pink. Secure in his manhood, right?

Teacher Marci reading the special birthday book & counting the 4 candles. He got 4 hip-hip-hoorays from his class, it was so cute. He loved it.

Dad came to watch, way to go dad!

Today we did a messy, fun thing I read about in a activity book for kids, while Jo was sleeping. Cornstarch & water & a little coloring. He played with it so great for about an hour. I would have to say that it looks terrible, but was fairly east to clean up. Cornstarch is weird stuff. Jackson usually naps, but Friday I keep him up for the sitter at night or so we can put him to sleep with Jo at 7pm. Tim & I actually can watch a movie then, very nice!
