Cute boy!

I found this pic that Grandpa Don took, buried in my Inbox. I love it, such a cutie!

Jackson's Special Day

Okay, I took a bad picture, but this was his Special Day stuff from school. A mom from class made him a name badge that was a crane, super cool. He loved it. "I'm Special" sticker & a pink cape which he agreed to wear after teacher Marci couldn't find the blue boy one. I am so glad he is comfortable wearing pink. Secure in his manhood, right?

Teacher Marci reading the special birthday book & counting the 4 candles. He got 4 hip-hip-hoorays from his class, it was so cute. He loved it.

Dad came to watch, way to go dad!

Today we did a messy, fun thing I read about in a activity book for kids, while Jo was sleeping. Cornstarch & water & a little coloring. He played with it so great for about an hour. I would have to say that it looks terrible, but was fairly east to clean up. Cornstarch is weird stuff. Jackson usually naps, but Friday I keep him up for the sitter at night or so we can put him to sleep with Jo at 7pm. Tim & I actually can watch a movie then, very nice!

Easter in Aptos!

Cousins & Cousin's Cousins having Easter in Aptos.

Hanging in the driveway, which was great weather & lots of fun for the kids which is fun for the adults. Scott & Debi do a great job of letting the kids bring out all the toys & play hard & then leave. Really nice of them to host.

L to R: Jackson, Callie, Josiah, Gracyn, Collin & Jillian in front.

Jackson playing with his monster truck from Grandpa Don & Grandma Bobbie

Josiah......these boys are in deep stare, which means they are ready for sleep. They were wore out!

Josiah's new do!

This is funny because I told them to hug & it always means Jo gets put into a headlock. Jackson better be ready, because Josiah is taking lessons :)

They look so much more alike now with Jo's short hair. From behind I get them confused.

He immediately seemed older to me after his haircut. I was not planning on going so short, but he was so wiggly, that I messed up one side & just decided to shave him. He has hair like me, & JT has Tim's hair. So funny that these boys are polar opposites. Not in the energy dept. though. They go head to head.

This wrestling (fun). They do this more now then ever & really enjoy it. It is when they try to do it with other kids, that don't like it, that it becomes brutal. We are trying to teach them the concept of somethings are for some places & times & not others. JT is getting it, but Jo has no idea.

Wait, more birthday pics!

From L to R: Jackson, Carys Phillips, Lauren Holdridge & Josiah. Jackson, Carys & Lauren have been buddies since birth.

Tim & Oma. Oma to the boys, but otherwise known as Tim's mom, Susan.

Okay, I think the boys has the best time when the guys let them help stomp the air out when they took the bounce house down. Their bud, Abel, was there too (rt.). His dad is the camera man, Jesse.

Way cute pictures of the boys!

I love this picture because it totally is Jackson's look, the one he has most often. Serious & deep in thought. He is so smart, silly & we love him so much.....our big 4 year old!

Jackson Turns Four!

I am still figuring this whole blogger thing out, so here are pics with captions. The game is to match them up! Some pics were taking by our friend, Jesse Villasenor. He will be a fabulous photographer, but he has this pesky thing called a job with the Sheriff's Dept. that keeps him busy. Zoe took some pics too, they look great, she is a pro with her digital. Have fun.

1. Jackson's Party had a bit of a Curious George theme. This is the closest I could get in the bounce houses. The boys loved it. These are some of the first guests. Jackson had one boy come to is party, that was his buddy Abel. We had about 15 girls! They had a blast.

2. It rained hard for about 20 minutes during the party, so everyone came in for a movie break. They got pretty worn out. When the rain was gone, they were back out there!

3. Not Josiah. Birthday brother couldn't make it through the party. Expected.

4. Birthday Brothers!
5. 4 candles for our big boy. He told me exactly what he wanted on his birthday cake. Construction trucks & sprinkles. He doesn't care about stuff like this usually, but he was particular about his cake & blue & white balloons.

6. Look at all these girls! He's like a rock star! Cousin Callie admiring the cake from behind.

7. Tim & Baylie Shaye. Think Tim wants a girl? I think so too ;)

I know, it's been awhile.....again

To those who have been bugging me to post some new pics, here you are. We dusted of our digital video/still shot camera & charged it up in preparation for Jackson's upcoming birthday. Tim & I feel so terrible for missing all the great footage we have of these too hilarious & busy boys. Here are a few things to update you with:
1. The boys sitting at the computer playing games on PBS.org, probably one of Jackson's favorite things to do. (like father, like son:) He graciously lets Jo watch at times, although sharing the office chair is not easy for either one. I can see the future fights over the computer starting. JT is a pro on the computer, I am sure he will be teaching me stuff in a few years. He loves to navigate through the site & find crazy sounds & games. I can't believe this is a almost 4 year old doing this. We didn't have a PC in the house until JR High! Oregon Trail & WW is Carmen San Diego were it on the games. Don't worry, we limit him to 1 hour per session, and he is maybe on it 3 times a week. He really has way too much energy for the computer at this age.

2. A little warm weather here was all Jo needed to strip down & whip out the hose! Those boys LOVE the water, dirt & even more, what they make when you combine them: mud! Our landscaping has taking a beating.

3. Jackson had PJ Day in his preschool class today. He is on the far right in the white doggie pj's that Aunt Jenny made for him (one of a kind!) and he is next to his bud, Zach in the red pj's. Next to Zach on the left is Josiah. He goes into Jackson's class & sits right down & knows the kids from different outings that Jo has gone on. He is the same size as all of them & talks with all of them, he would LOVE to be in there, but I told him that he has to wait until September to go to a class. He is so ready to go, more so that Jackson was. They are so different, Jo loves relationships, Jackson can live without them. He kinda liked PJ Day, but struggled with it, too. "Pj's are not what we wear to class, mom. That is for at home!" he complains. "I agree, buddy, but they are trying to make school fun & interesting so you will go, so let's play along." That is a lot of my conversation with JT. Trying to convince him why we should do stuff. Most of the time the answer is, "Because mom says!" JT is not fooled easily, he quickly analyzes most situations to point out what is right & wrong about it. Wow, he gets that from Tim & I. Pretty sad. Josiah is more of the happy-go-lucky guy in the family. We are happy to have his carefree attitude & silly ways. We all need it. They are so different and I am so glad for that. We love them both so much!

See you in another few months!
